I am in ESRF (End Stage Renal Failure) & am dialysing at nite (8 hrs.) This RLS condition first raised its ugle head during my first pregnancy...eased off & has returned with a vengance! Hydrocodone or any other narcotic of that sort is the only thing I found that relieves it. Elavil, Ultram, Prozac, etc. has absolutely no effect. It is not a nervous condition to be fixed with anti-depressants; altho it will cause depression if you have it long enough. I have two yound children (9 & 12), I'm 48 yrs. old, & on dialysis. I need a good nite's sleep! It seems to me that prescribing something to help me sleep would be no problem! Any suggestions?
