I have had 2 tmj surgeries; one on the right side in 1993 and one on the left side in 1995. I FEEL WONDERFUL!!! no more suffering and how I did suffer. You probably will start off with wearing a splint and never need surgery, but the splints never worked for me. See a good oral surgeon but make sure you have heard great things about him. I have seen people in my doctor's office who had nightmare stories about their surgeons. I live in South Florida and my doctor was DR. Andrew Slaven - my hero!
