Hi Patti, I was very interested in your note on Bowel incontinence. I had surgery on my back 15 years ago because of a subarachnoid spinal cyst. My spine was compressed by 50 % when they drained it. Now it has refilled, but only about 3 inches. I also, have Severe Crohn's Disease (disease of the digestive system that causes diarhea, cramping, constipation, and other awful complications like iritis, skin sores and fissures) Was diagnosed over 3 years ago, but can track symptoms back to the first grade. Anyway, I always felt that the two were somehow related, but could not find a doctor who would or could answer my questions. If you haven't gone in for your colonoscopy yet, have them look for Crohn's Disease or Colitis. With your history of fissures, I bet it's a possiblily. Good Luck!
