Debbie, my neurologist said the same thing--no nerve conduction test for minimum 6 weeks or else would have to do over. I was scared of getting hooked on pain meds and he gave me neurotin, a medicine used for seizure disorder, but it helped -- what it does is block the pain message to the brain and slows down the firing off of the nerves--something like that
