I too am 44 years old and have scoliosis-s shaped. We have a lot of similiarities. I too wore a Milwaukee brace and was told at the time that it would not progress. Well it has! When I was 27 it was 32 and 31 degrees. Now it is 47 and 48 degrees. I am considering surgery. Mine is also not awfully noticedable since I wear big shirts. Sometimes I have lower back pain. I don't what doc to see. I did not keep my x-rays since we moved a lot and I didnt realize it was necessary. The last doc I saw it said he would not operate without that evidence of progression. Please write back - sorry I didnt have anything relevant to tell you. Its just your case sounded so much like mine!
