Hi, patience and truth sometimes are the best. I married an alcoholic & have stuck in there for 7yrs. It took a couple trys at AA & several relapses for a real change. The reson I say truth is some of us tend to sugar coat things hoping not to send our loved ones sprialing into a drinking binge again. But, one of the best things AA did for was husband was remind him how really sick he is. He says being there with those other people telling the most horrific stories of what they've done to them selves and others always reminds him, he's one of them too. Alcholics have a 10 min memory, what I mean by that is we will remember the awful things they say and do, they won't. AA reminds him of everything his own mind makes him forget. The need for them to help him & his need to help someone else now makes all the diff. If I can answer any quest, please feel free to e-mail... Everyones experiences are diff but, What ever advice might help, good luck...
