I'm 48 and have PCOS. I pretty much diagnosed myself because my doctor's weren't very helpful or knowledgeable about PCOS even when I would suggest it as a possibility. I finally found a gyno that could help a little but decided to go to an Endocrinologist. There was an article in a women's magazine...I think it was Women's Day...last month...about PCOS. It was very lengthy and informative. I suggest you go to the library and read it. It talks about the acne, weight gain, hairiness etc. and the "ignorance" of many doctors. I have been using a natural progesterone cream for the last 2 years and it is the only thing (besides the pill) that made me regular. If you would like to know more email me at djm99@msn.com. While doing a search about PCOS I found a great website that listed and explained all the symptoms of PCOS. Unfortunately I had them all.Go to www.pcosupport.org/PCOSupport/email/supportlist.html also do a search for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and you will get more sites besides this one. I like this one because it has alot of links at the bottom to get more info. Good luck and I hope this helped. Debbie from Indiana
