Hi Melanie, Yes, you can have problems with your gall bladder and NOT have stones. Before you go through those other tests you mentioned, ask your doctor to order a HIDA Scan. I recently learned about this test and it's non-evasive. It can check to see if your gall bladder is functioning properly. My ultrasound was normal also, along with my CAT scan and MRI. I have been having upper abdominal and back pain on and off since last July, but this month it hasn't been going away and I'm really scared too. I would definitely look into the HIDA Scan first.
