                        I am 50 and am peri menopausal. I am also experiencing extreme fatigue the week of my period and the week after.  It is so bad that I need to take a nap when I come home from work just to have the energy to eat dinner.  I have also take a day off work just to rest.  I attribute it to heavy bleeding but this is way more fatigue than I would anticipate and lasts longer than the two days I would normally feel tired.  I am now on low dose birth control pills.  I am hoping that will help.  I think the fatigue contributes to memory loss.  My doctor suggests exercise but I can't find the energy! Any advice?
