Finally I found someone in a similar situation. My 3 1/2 year old daughter has spina bifida and will have hip surgery on 2/26 and be in a body cast for 6 weeks. Because of the spina bifida, she is catheterized for urine, but has bowel movements in a diaper. I'm sure it will be a mess. I don't know what we'll do for car safety-she's supposed to be in a reclining position, but that doesn't mean she'll fit her car seat. I would love to know any tricks of the trade.
