Hi, Yes, a colonoscopy is much more thourough than a cat scan.Though unpleasant it is well worth going through! I had a cat scan for pain in my right side and it showed a darkening, that something was there but not what it was. I then had a colonoscopy and they found a cancerous tumor, removed it and I have been fine for three yrs.If you are having problems I urge you to have the colonoscopy to have peace of mind.
