I had surgery to correct scoliosis at age 11. I am noww 33 years old, have 2 kids of my own and the only problems I have now is a weak back due to carrying kids, which will not affect your son! I was in a body cast for several months after surgery which was one of the toughest things that I had to go through because at that age I was forced to sit out of all physical activities at school.
