Hi Ida, Boy, it sounds like you and I are in the same boat! I've had to slowly buy a new wardrobe. I was hoping that I could have tapered my dose of Prednisone, but now I'm on an even higher dose! I was up to 20mg for 5 days right before Easter, because of a flare brought on by reducing the Methotrexate dose, which was giving me terrible headaches that would last 3 days each week. I couldn't handle that! Now, I'm down to 15mg on the Prednisone, but I have gained 7 more pounds since it was raised up a few weeks ago! Grrrrr! Oh well. It could be worse. At least I'm functioning. I still need a nap in the mornings, though. That's my worst time of day. I'll be starting Sulfasalazine this week after I see my doctor. He said it works well with Methotrexate, and it should help me taper the Prednisone. Take good care and post soon. I want to know how you are doing. It's great to share with you, Ida. Hugs, Shar
