                        Penny:  I have not found that there are foods which make the PMR better or worse.  Depending on your mother's age and mobility, before I was diagnosed in January(3years in all) I tried everything and the only things that really helped were Massage Therapy and exercise.  The exercise was difficult at first but the more I did the better I felt.  After I was diagnosed and went on Prednisone in January at 20mgs (instant relief) so I stopped all the things I was doing and just lived my life - I didn't realize that as I stepped down the dose I would just begin to feel worse and worse until now I am on 9 mg and am just starting the massage therapy again and the exercise.  I go the gym and just push myself as hard as possible - sometimes I can do very little other times it isn't too bad and I can get on the rowing maching for 15 mins. along with some weight strengthening.  I hope  that this helps please keep in touch, this is such a rare disease that it is hard to find anyone to talk to about it. Aly
