Hi Ida, How good to hear that you are doing fine on 7mg of Prednisone! Will the Lyme Disease go away? Do you still have PMR? I had a relapse and my pain and swelling couldn't be controlled without increasing my Prednisone dose from 10mg to 13mg. In fact, I went up to 14mg for a few days, and am now on the 13mg. When I saw my doctors a few weeks ago, I was doing well. It's a shame that a flare can't be stopped with just a tiny increase in the Prednisone. My blood tests were good, except my bad cholesterol is too high even though I am on Lipitor. I have to try to cut out more fat in my diet, according to my Internal Medicine doctor. I blame my cholesterol problems on the side effects from being on Prednisone for four and a half years. I gained a lot of weight from it these last 3 years. The dose has been averaging 15mg for that long too. I had a bone scan done this week, and I hope it turns out good. I hope you are doing better than I am these days. It's a never ending battle.
