Hi Ida, I am sorry I didn't see your reply. I never got emailed an alert from this site, so I thought I would take a look and see if you had posted. I am so glad that I found your post! I am very happy to hear that you are feeling better now than before, and on a lower dose of the Prednisone! What is the antibiotic the doctor has you on? I'm sure glad that it is helping you. That is terrific! I am still at 15mg of Prednisone at this time. My rheumatologist tried me on Voltaren, which gave me problems with stomach irritation and a little stomach bleeding, but it cleared up right away after stopping that NSAID. Then I tried Celebrex, but it caused palpitations each time I tried it. I must be sensitive to the sulfa in it. I am now on a low dose of Mobic, and it is doing a fairly good job for me. I might try doubling the dose, as my rheumy said I could, but when I did that for a few days just a few weeks ago, I thought it made me feel sort of depressed. That is a possible side effect. I don't need that, though. I have an appointment with my rheumy next Tuesday. I am hoping that I can begin another slow taper of the Prednisone pretty soon. Please post soon! It's great to hear from you. Shar
