                        Hi Ida,    How are you?  It sounds like you have found the best method for tapering your Prednisone.  I am convinced that my body can't handle big reductions in Prednisone, either.   Last week, I tapered by 1.25mg, and it seems to have worked.  I had minor increases in fatigue, stiffness, and pain, but those cleared up by the end of the week.  I am working on another taper, and I am feeling more fatigued along with pain and minor swelling again.  This isn't much fun.    I really want to get my Prednisone down to a safer level.  I have been on it for too long, and I am concerned about long term side effects.    Take good care and let me know how you are doing.  Shar
